The parishioners of St John Vianney in Halewood have been busy during lockdown thinking about how they can help those who have less access to food. Here is a report from parishioner Rose Floyd.

Our local foodbank distributed 50 parcels last week, with a large amount of donations coming from all types of faith settings.

With the closure of our church we wondered what we could do.

Parishioners who want to donate food can call or text Ron from our parish, whose number is published in the weekly newsletter, who comes and collects the items.

Sometimes there is some social distancing catch up chat from behind the garden gate.

It’s a win-win! The parish in action in a time of real adversity.
